Ambitions

from Life on Repeat by Friday Giants

lyrics

I knew when I walked away
That nothing here would be the same
Do you think I care about the
Words that they've said of me
I've got my own ambitions
Given up my superstitions
I've made the choice to give this
All of my life

I've gone home but I'm never coming back to live in this empty shell
If it means that I'm to take your blame cause I've found my way
With the street lights that have given me
They'll cast a shadow when I leave here tomorrow

My life was vein in high school
I never fit in like you did
I want a life of chasing
All of my wildest dreams
I grew up watching giants
Cause I knew they'd never hurt me
I'm in control and I'll be on
Top of this woooooooooorld

I've gone home but I'm never coming back to live in this empty shell
If it means that I'm to take your blame cause I've found my way
With the street lights that have given me
They'll cast a shadow when I leave here tomorrow
